we have moved

it's been a long week which is not even over yet. we started moving on tues, well we were meant to get the keys but a call beforehand to the agents on tues morning revealed a mix-up. according to their computer system, our lease was only meant to start on wed but our paper lease (and according to us) the lease was meant to start on tues so anyway after all that we managed to get our keys

we have so much stuff! actually i think it's that and also partly coz we werent that organised in our move in that we didnt pack up everything esp the little odds and ends so anyway although we had people who helped us move on tues n wed (which we're really thankful for) merrill and i still ended up packing, moving, unpacking and cleaning till 2am for the past 3 days. it's tiring. both of our feets are sore. thanks also to my mom for coming over and helping us clean both the old n new places.

the previous tenants were slack man. although the place looks clean, on closer inspection it's not that clean! so we had to clean up the place abit and the carpet's disgusting, after walking around the house barefoot for 5 mins, the soles of our feet became black! so anyway after some wrangling with our agents (who had already released the bond to the previous tenants), they've agreed to send in the carpet cleaners today so hopefully we'll both feel better abt the state of our place. anyway david was nice enough to let me have tues n thurs off to clean, pack etc if not we wouldnt be able to get most of the stuff unpacked.

and now there's a housewarming tomorrow which i had initially thought we would be ready for. i still think we'll be ready for it except it's a bit disorganised coz as usual most pple dun bother to rsvp and it's meant to be sue's surprise birthday party tomorrow so i'm hoping she'll come. anyway am not too happy at the moment, maybe it's the stress of the housewarming/surprise party, maybe it's not having the house in order, maybe it's not having prepped for sunday school and church this sunday, maybe it's not having had time to organise a mum to help at creche this sunday....it's just lots of things that have fallen by the wayside because of the move.

moving is just disruptive.
