had a good holiday. after coming back from port stephens, merrill and i stayed around in sydney for christmas before heading down to melbourne on boxing day. spent abt 10 days there visiting the yarra valley and dandenong ranges, the great ocean rd and melbourne itself. even got to go for dave & kylie's wedding on new year's day! oh and we went to see the fireworks in the city on new years eve. will post up photos...again, when i get round to it.

it was great R & R and now i came back feeling recharged & energised for this new year. just came back from dave & kylie's wedding dinner in sydney and it was great seeing other pple like dan & helen king n catching up with them etc.

in other news, might be heading down to singapore for chinese new year. melvyn's offered to pay for us to go back to singapore with him for a Lee family reunion at CNY, they're even planning the family wedding dinner celebration in singapore for us as well. at the moment, am pretty broke from the expenses with the car, the holidays and christmas so am kinda reluctant to go on the trip but since most of the major expenses are likely to be sponsored i guess it's a little hard to say no plus i guess they havent had the 4 of them together as a family for so long that it's hard to say no as well. i think my dad's a bit disappointed coz andrew's turning 18 this yr and his birthday falls on the 1st day of CNY and i won't be around for it. speaking abt dad, he's got a suspected blocked artery at the moment but not much more news on that till he does some more tests tomorrow.

oh yes, might also be moving out of our current place. i guess in our current state of feeling poor and cash-strapped, when we returned from our holidays and found a letter from our real estate agent wanting to raise the rent by $25 a week, we decided that we should probably start looking for a cheaper place to rent and that would probably help us in saving towards a place as well. so God-willing, we'll find a cheaper place that's convenient etc etc. with my family's record of moving, i should be used to moving but i'm not really looking forward to all the cleaning, packing, moving & unpacking but moving's always a good excuse to clear out stuff.
