As we go on, we remember.....

caught up with some high school friends last night over dinner....it's amazing how much has changed since we last met up, one of them we hadn't seen since high school, the others probably for abt a year or so....it was great catching up and just talking, finding out how they've been and what they've been up to....it was really encouraging hearing how some of our high school friends have changed, some starting to go to church more and taking God more seriously and things like that...it was great to hear how Sarah actually took the initiative to find a bible study that she could go to when when we spoke over a year ago, she didnt even really want to go to church regularly....then there's another friend who used to be buddhist in high school but now even going to church....so it's been great how God's been working in people's lives, and also of another friend who might be heading in the ministry direction....so that was really something to thank and praise God for....

of course then there's also other friends, to whom having careers and establishing themselves seems to be their main goal in life at the moment....and last night just made me see how Christians are actually quite different to non-Christians and it was brought out so starkly when you contrast and think about people your age, who are in the same situation as you but not really in the same situation because their goals and priorities are all different....the way they think is different etc

anyway there was talk of perhaps making a trip together in abt 2007 or 2008....and as we somehow suggested that and kinda talked about it, somewhere in the back of my mind i was wondering if we'd keep or even remember this promise that we made....there's been so many times where people have said stuff and never even kept it, especially abt keeping in touch and always being friends and that kinda stuff....call me cynical or what, but it just never happens... especially when u dun see each other anymore
