Start of uni....

hehe...well it's not really the start of uni for me but then i guess that's what it should be considering the number of people returning from overseas and also the number of newcomers we're getting

spent a day helping my parents cleaning again....man, it's really hard work, we worked almost 12 hrs and by the end of it i was kinda grouchy and tired...hehe....and i feel quite bad coz i let it show that i was grouchy and tired coz the pple whom we had left to go clean the renovated units whilst we went to do the other jobs didn't do a good job and basically when we went there at the end of the day to check on the progress of their work, it was bad and meant that we had to re-do almost all of it...so that got me irritable and grouchy...and it's through no fault of my parents....guess i was acting a bit like a spoilt miserable brat....

anyway, it was o-week this week and it seems like they had a pretty good time on the walkway and quite a lot of the contacts this year were actually Christians....abt 20 or so....but unfortunately, Linda and Tyng were telling us that Hillsong Powerhouse has decided to hold their meetings on Friday evening on campus so some of the people that they contacted seem more interested in going to Hillsong than joining us....oh well, have to trust that God is in control...so anyway, last night, instead of having our welcome dinner like the other bible fellowships did, we had a short bible study on Mark 1 & 2 focusing on who Jesus is.....there were about 10 or so newcomers quite a few of whom were Christians, so it was really encouraging....it was even more encouraging to see that all the newcomers were pretty well taken care of....they never seemed to be left alone for a second and every one was talking to everyone....so that's great....it's even amazing coz Froline was actually chatting with a newcomer last night! hehe....i'm always so thankful to God that Froline's come such a long way since she first joined us like 3 yrs ago =) anyway met a few new girls last night, including Tracy who's the girl that Froline was having a conversation with, and I found out that Tracy goes to the People's Bible Church which is pretty close to my secondary school, PLMGSS and that Tracy actually knows one of my secondary school friends, Violet...it sometimes amazes me what a small world this is and how people always seem to be connected in some way or other =)

anyway this Tues will be the final exam of my summer course and i'm quite looking forward to it. not coz i'm such a nerd who's a sucker for exams but coz it means a short break to focus on preparing for the wedding (and the marriage) before starting on CA in June. Haiz...so many things to do, so little time.....Merrill and I have been so busy that we haven't even had time to start going through all the marriage prep books that we've been given (i think we've got 3 different ones, but i'll be really happy if we can even sort of start and finish or maybe get through half-way a single book)
