it's raining cats and dogs

i wonder who ever came up with that expression and how it came abt but yes, it's pouring now, a torrential downpour as they say...should have left the car out in the open so that the downpour could wash the dust and dirt away from the car....unfortunately, i've showered so i smell nice and i feel nice so i dun really fancy going out and driving the car, parking it out in the open and then running back into the house =( oh well....dirty car

anyway it was so exciting today, we had so many pple come for ESF lunch after church today that we actually filled up the whole of Chong Hing....unfortunately there wasn't enough space so Yuk Yee, Karen, Nico and Graeme had to go upstairs for lunch....i guess that means we'll have to start splitting up for lunch....yeah we had heaps of newcomers today...there was a special newcomers "meeting" this morning after church and before morning tea and it was amazing coz there were like 30 or so newcomers....ok, maybe we do usually get this many newcomers at the beginning of the year, but actually being able to see the numbers fill up the rows of seats in the lecture theatre was "wow" and had to say that everything at church today went really well....everyone was really co-operative in terms of filling up the rows, they didnt even leave any gaps like what usually happens, the music was good (full band: keyboards, guitar, bass, flute and drums, 4 song-leaders) and pple actually sang and sang loudly and i guess coz we were singing more "charo-type" songs, pple seemed to enjoy the music and even though we were singing these "charo" songs with ambivalent lyrics i thought Kylie did a really good job in putting these songs into perspective through her prayers and what she said....so really thank God that everything went well!

am kinda stressing but not stressing at the moment coz i've just realised it's abt 14 weeks to the wedding (3 months) and there's still so much that's undone....somehow i have a feeling the hardest part of all this is actually finding a place to stay but somehow i guess we'll worry abt that late March or early April when we get round to looking for a place.....we haven't got the invites done as yet....but at least we've kinda set up a website! (which is an accomplishment coz if u know Merrill and I, we're both like computer-illiterate pple) so i'm kinda proud of ourselves for having done that, although we'll probably have to do a little tweaking around....and if u're computer literate....excuse the really simplistic look...hehe....oh yah....also realised that Merrill and I don't really have pictures of us....so yeah....that's another thing....have to go and take pictures...anyway before i start stressing myself out even more abt the wedding....better go and hit the books....exam on Tues =(
